This club lounge is located on the 8th floor of the hotel. Access is granted to Marriott Bonvoy Titanium or Platinum members only.

– 24/7 access to coffee, pops, water bottles and light snacks (small bags of chips and fruit).

– “Light refreshments” are served Sunday-Thursday evening which are sufficient for a small & quick meal.

– The view towards downtown city of Calgary with the mountains in the background is excellent

– The service staff (a single female server) is excellent.

The only thing that would make this a 5 star review for me is if they had some small candy dishes or more variety of light snacks through the day. Cookies, pretzels, peanuts or just straight up candy.

When checking in, I asked about the lounge and was told that it was an amenity selection (I’m Titanium status) that I could either choose access to the Reef Club OR breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. Evening happy hour consisted of some decent hot food options with shrimp skewers, beef skewers, and chicken skewers but lacked any type of “filler” as the the only other options were some snack mixes and then desserts. If you liked protein, you would definitely be happy. If you liked vegetables, you would have been out of luck. Decent selection of liquors and wine while where was only one beer option.

Breakfast was okay but I’m sure the breakfast in the restaurant was much better. Not shown in the pictures were the hot food selections of scramble eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, and waffles. All the hot breakfast food was just okay with nothing particular standing out but definitely enough option to start the day off full.

The club was right off the reception and while the lounge doesn’t require a key to enter the staff was very attentive and welcomed you to the lounge checked room numbers when you entered.

Location: Pretty close to HZMB Zhuhai Port. Didi/Uber costs about US$3. You can walk to the beach, but it’s not exactly close. Many Chinese eateries nearby. For non-Chinese options, Pizza Hut and KFC are across the street.

Staff: Very friendly and proactive, though with limited English.

Executive lounge: On the 26th floor, with a great view of the ocean. However, there’s construction going on that will block half of the views when completed. Some of the evening refreshments and tea time items seemed to have been the leftovers from the restaurant breakfast buffet, but I could be wrong….

Breakfast: for Platinum Elites+ are complimentary at the hotel’s Cafe Bistro. Quite a large selection, but more of Chinese varieties than western.
