Heidelberg Marriott Hotel Lounge Info

First time visit here.

Great small lounge. The typical. beer, wine and soft drinks. Soft drinks, coffee and snacks are available all day.

Pictures give you an idea of of the food.

Last night was turkey and some of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had.

Soups are excellent. Mushroom tonight and tomato last night.

The bread was fresh and still warm.

I have been going there for 25 years now, yes it is dated. Service is one of the best experiences I have had with Marriott. The Lounge has a decent spread, but nothing to write home about. Anastacia (sp)(evening lounge attendant) has been there for a couple of years and knows my face immediately and ices up Bier glass for me when happy hour starts. Need to have a little longer happy hour IMHO. Balcony is wonderful , and the best I have had in EU since Marriott Budapest closed their lounge balcony. Die Pinte bar downstairs has great homey atmosphere where you will see guests and locals enjoying themselves

Yes, it may feel dated, but the location on the banks of the Neckar and close to Altstadt can’t be beat. But it’s the staff puts it on my don’t miss list. Easy drive from FRA, I love to spen the first night o’seas there! It’s like being home. A kind lounge attendant once closed up and left people sitting on the balcony chatting, well after closing hours, confident that the several long-time patrons would lock up. One patron related that a lounge attendant had found him a dentist and got him there at night when he’d broken a tooth. You don’t find hotels like this just anywhere. And the food/drink are good!
