A third stay with lounge access here. Seemed like a lot more kids there this year than in previous years. You could tell the staff was getting frustrated by the lack of parental control with the little ones running around and grabbing food with their hands.
The Club Lounge moved locations this year to the former Dondero’s restaurant just off the main lobby. The location is a little more spacious and has outside seating but it can be windy and you have to watch the birds with your food. It’s nice that they a set menu for the entire week so you can see what will be served for breakfast and evening snacks each day.
Breakfast was consistently good although some days they had trouble keeping up with refilling items since it was so busy.
The afternoon snacks had soda, coffee, water, and some peanut mix and Maui potato chips out.
For dinner, the constant foods were all delicious like usual but the daily specials were hit or miss. We stayed for six days so sampled almost everything. “Beef sliders” were hamburgers like you might find in a grade school – overcooked and dry. “Assorted Dim Sum” was all deep fried – shumai, spring rolls, and pot stickers. Chicken wings were also deep fried. The beef skewers, chicken skewers, and chicken and vegetable stir-fry were all really good though!
Desserts were usually a variety of 2-3 small bite size bits such as brownies, cherry crumble, chocolate cake, pudding, etc.
Alcohol pricing in the evening is an honor bar with $5 for beer/wine and $7 for mixed drinks.
We’ve stayed there twice with lounge access. Lounge can sometimes get busy and while there is outside seating, it can be windy. Breakfast has a standard set of options with a rotating hot item. Evening snacks are similar with standard items and a rotating hot item. When we were there, each day of the week had a different hot item before repeating the following week. Alcohol is available during hor d’oeuvre hours at a rate of $5 per glass of wine/beer. We often just got to go plates for evening meal and sat on our balcony with a bottle of wine from Safeway.
Please let us know in detail what needs to be corrected concerning the current lounge information.
